Mark II Competion model .22

I want a side arm sim-auto .22. I will need to mount a scope on it. Size and weight is not an issue. Is the ruger mark II stainless Competion model with a 6 7\8 in. barrel worth it's big price? It's suggested price is $529.00 but I can get one new for $399.00. What is all of your opinions?

Justin:

I shoot this gun with a 4moa Ultra Dot scope.  It's a LOT of fun to shoot...and I usually spend an hour or two every week shooting it.

I upgraded my factory pistol with a Volquartsen trigger assy because the factory trigger was "cunchy".        I am testing Houge grips on the gun now...tried the Volquartsen grips but I didn't like them.  My gut tells me I will be back to the factory wood grips soon.

Anyway, if I could hold the gun steady enough...it would put every round in the same hole at 20yds., with Wolfe ammo.  IMHO, $399 for the Mark II SS Govt. Competion Model with wood grips is a decent price....at least in my part of the world.  Especially when you consider it comes with a scope mount and 1" rings.

Good Luck with your decision and Be Safe!

8) Chris, Thats what I wanted to hear! As soon as I come up with another spare $50, I'm headed to Acadamy! As far as a scope I haven't got a clue. Maby a 2x7 or some were along there. Nothing bigger than a 9x. Thanks for your info.  :excuseme:
