NEED HELP Forming REM 17 from 223

    I am in need of what dies are used in the forming of the REM 17 from 223's. Who is producing the best quality dies?  Who is offering the best prices on them? I Also need directions in what is needed to complete the process step by step. I am going to obtain a 24 inch 17 REM barrel for my contender. I want to obtain the dies and start to put together some rounds to try out. What loads have you found to work well? I have loaded hand gun and shotgun but this will be my first long gun loading. Unless you REALLY want to go to the trouble of annealing, forming, sizind, and trimming inside and length...just buy the brass. It is not expensive or hard to find and you'll spend more in tooling to convert the .223 over then you'll save in brass cost even if you don't include your time as a factor.

For forming thought, the easy way is to anneal the .223, use a bull berry double ended forming die to neck it to .17, trim to length, OD (or ID) trim the neck to proper thickness, and then FL size. And the lower half on the neck that you pushed back.
