Ok I know  oh DB is going off on another wild goose chase.  But I am curious to see what kind of folks we have in CAS.....
How many of you fellas/ladies, are involved in Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts.   I am a den leader for my sons den. I am also a a range officer for BB, Archery.  I was thinkin of taking my scouts to a match and letting them watch and see how responsible adults handle firearms and that they can be used for things other than what the media portrays them for.
What do you guys think?

:D DB,

I think it is a heck of an idea. Maybe you could even get them to work as brass rats at your annual match. Let them earn a little money for their den activities.

Outstanding ideas.  You may find more than a little resistance among some of the parents, though.  It would really be a great thing if you can pull it off.

I've been to shoots where the Scouts have picked brass for us and also one club has some young girls picking brass . They do alright from the shooters at the end of the day . I really like it cause my knees and legs are about shot and can't get down and up like I used to .

Our club has tried to interest "Scouts" in our shooting program.  We have had a lot of success with the 4H Outdoor Sports Program.  Everyone ought to look into this program for teaching firearms safety and marksmanship.

The local Boy Scouts fix lunch for our clubs Annual and State shoots. They get to watch us acting nuts and make some bucks by selling us a meal. Seems to be a good deal all the way around! :-D
