Small game snare set-up
« on: February 28, 2006, 06:46:07 PM »
I am 14 years old and am interested in making my own snares for rabbit/squirrel use.  However, i am not sure what materials that i need. I do know that i need a lock, what kind do you suggest? A cam lock, a sure lock? Any help at all on making and using snares to catch rabbits/squirrels would be greatly appreciated.

I would use eather a BMI mine lock or a SLIM lock Use 1/16" 7x7 cable. You will also nead aluminum stops and double ferrules.A swivel would be nice on the end too. If you use a swivel you wont nead the double ferrules.
Not to advertize
But my MASTER RACCOON SNARING video will show you how to build a loaded snare. Also show you how to build your own swivel making tool.
Of course how to set snares too.
