A friend has a Tracker which he really enjoys. I was going through a box of items from when I used to custom load ammo and found a box of 45 Autorim cases. I gave them to him to load for the Tracker and he tells me that the cylinder will not close with the cases chambered. He said that the clip for ACP ammo appears to be thinner than the half-moon clips used in the Model 1917 revolvers. Has anyone else tried to use Autorim cases in the Tracker? It would be nice to not have to rely on the clips to use the gun.

Your friend is correct. I have both Trackers in 45 ACP and S&W 625 models. The Autorim will not work in the Tracker for the stated reason. Now, if you were real patient and had a real good file......Or if you had the top of the cylinder milled.......

Thanks for the reply. It looks like there is no simple way to use Autorim cases. Unless, of course, you had a Model 625. Hmmm. :grin:

The only Taurus Tracker I own and shoot is the .45 Colt, and in that it can do one inch groups at 15 yards.
