Easter Hunt
« on: April 16, 2006, 02:21:22 PM »
Well me and Curdog and Alvin didn't find no easter eggs but we sure found alot of hogs this morning.Alvin had a friend that was trying to get hay planted but the hogs was eating him up on Blur River so we got up and hit the place about daylight this morning. We cut the dogs loose and was there about 30 minutes when my dog and one of curdogs busted loose,it was old graybutt as we call him,we have hit him before but he always looses the dogs somewhere on the river and just like always we lost him again, but about that time a new dog curdog bought last week bayed out and we took off to it,by the time we got there all the dogs were in on it.as we got closer i could hear the chatter of the hogs, well we step on in closer me in the middle, curdog to my right and alvin to my left, some of the dogs already had a fight going when curdog hollered at me to cut Homer my catch dog loose.when i did about 30 seconds later i had wish i had him still with me because i had about 20  hogs charging me and there was nowhere to go so i had to deal with it,i stood still as 2 came right at me,just at about 2 to 3 feet i nailed oned on my left then one on my right.as i looked toward curdog,  one dog hit a hog and turned it right at curdog and he nailed it,then alvin had him one,but the funny part was watching curdog dance back and forth dodgeing hogs. When it was all over us and the dogs had 7 hogs, what a way to spend Easter,I'll post pictures in a day or to when they get back from the store.
