new encore barrels
« on: February 27, 2006, 01:46:16 PM »
As far as muzzle velocity goes, how will the new 28" encore barrel compare to the 24" 270
                 the 26" 7mm
                 the 26" 300

I plan on buying one of these barrels, but just wanted to know which cal. would be best to get, and would benefit from the extra length. I have a vvcg barrel now chambered for the weatherby 270 mag in a 26" s/s It's awesome but at $3.00 a shell it's expensive to shoot and I don't reload. I plan on selling it and buy one of the new barrels.

At that price, it would pay to reload. But if you want to sell the barrel what are you looking to get for it? I am interested.  :D
