Just checked the SportsSouth page and the 243 and 3006 are in stock.  
GO FOR IT!  Too bad they didn't take it a step further and mate those rifle barrels with the NEW choke tube 20ga barrel.  Like the New sythetic nickle models.

If I could spair the bread I wouldn't mind picking up a .22-250/20ga combo.  But alas I have too many home improvement projects that need attension right now.  I need a couple of loads of gravel for my driveway. I need to do some landscaping projects and fence repair in the pool area. Speaking of pools I need to replace the filter pump this spring and I realy should reshingle the roof of the house this spring, the shingles are getting a little thin  Sounds like it's going to be a while before I can pick up any new guns.  :cry:

Monte Carlo stocks & 20 gauge shotgun barrels?  I wonder how they will handle.  Anyone tried this with positive results?  Just curious..

Asides from that, it looks like a good deal - I think that nickle receiver is sort of neat looking too..

Njanear,

Check out this thread scroll down to the rifle pics and you will see that they must be molding a new Monte Carlo synthetic with more drop at the comb and heel. It is noticably different from the others in the catalog. I just hope they keep both cause I like the higher comb for my rifles.

This stock should let you get down far enough for the plain barrel.
