I'm thinking of buying one in .357 in a 5 1/2. I've had the older ones in .357 and 44.I like the beefed up loads. From what I've read I can still use the Buffalo Bore 125 JHC 1700 fps- 802 fpe.If someone has a new one. Let me know what you think of it .Thanks.

I stopped in Grice gun shop today to look at this Vaquero. They had the 50 year blackhawk in 357. that came out last year in the case .It had the same thin old style frame the vaquero has,but with adjustable sights. So this is what I'm taking home.

I like the new model, but own an older on in .45 colt to handle the heavier loads. The slimmer new model seems to be more akin to the peacemaker and shoudl handle nicely. Great choice. let us know how you like it.
