Garcia-Mitchel Bruno 22 Lr

Is anybody familure with a wire frame rifle Garcia-Mitchell fishing real company marketed and sold back in the early 70s.

They were a black in color wire frame rifle about 20" OAL.  You had pull a lever in front of the trigger to open the breach sideways for loading.  I was told they also made them in 410 shotgun.  They had absoultly no manufacture markings on them anywhere.

I know they are not highly collectable.  The rifle was my first firearm. I just want to find more about them so that I can possibly locate one that is reasonably priced.

Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated...

Good luck I remember seeing them in gun books my gun guide is a older on says a value of 80 bucks not sure what they are selling for now. To be honest I never see them at gun shows so I do not know how hard it will be for you to find one.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Wasn't it called the Bronco rather than Bruno?

Yep GB your right it was called the bronco. made in 67 not sure how long after that but I do not think they were on the market that long and I do not think they made many so I think they may be hard to find though probably not impossible.

Here is some info for you.
Firearms International Bronco
Q: I recently purchased a .22 all-metal, single-shot rifle from a terminally ill relative who has since passed. For sentimental reasons, I have no desire to ever sell it, but I would be interested in knowing more about this very unique rifle, which he purchased for $5. It has a swivel-down barrel, manual ejector, manual firing-pin cocker and square safety button above the trigger. It’s in about 70 percent condition. The only inscription on the entire rifle is on the butt: “Firearms International Corporation Washington D.C. 20022.” I would appreciate your help. --D.S., Marietta, OH

A: The rifle you describe is a .22 Long Rifle Bronco Model, which was imported by Firearms International Corporation and was manufactured in Italy during the late 1960s. At that time, the gun had a manufacturer’s suggested list price of $19.95. This company was absorbed by Garcia during the early 1970s.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.
