I have to agree with Lawdog, I am having mine done. Even CZ recommends it.  :D

Even CZ recommends it.
Then why don't they do it?

A good question.  Why not ask CZ and see what they say?     Lawdog

I think it is how they keep the price down. I would pay more if they did it. But that is a good question and maybe we all should ask them.  :D

Before spending the coin on a Winl. or Rem. check out CZ.  They make a heavy bolt rifle in .375, .458 Mag., 458 Lott, .416 Rigby and .505 Gibbs.
Many African guides use them and for the money they can't be beat.
There is an African guide forum, the web address escapes me.  If you can find it, it will confirm what I am saying.

Well I finely put the coin together this week, had decided on a Winchester Safari Express. Went too Sportsman Warehouse last night and got lucky they are running Winchesters & Brownings on sale for 10% off . Bought rifle for $ 827.99 Now trying too decide which scope?

The Safari Express is a great gun, and you got it at a very good price. Since you won't be wasting a couple hundred dollars on installing crossbolts, as it already comes with two, and two recoil lugs, might I suggest spending some bucks on the scope? The lower powered Leupold scopes are the perfect combo for a rifle like this. I like mine to have detachable mounts.

how much did the sako cost?  I am thinking of buying a 375 H&H and rechambering to 375 weatherby.  you said the kick isn't that bad with this rifle.  how is the accuracy?  Does the sako come with open sites, because I would want them befor I got a scope?  how much did it cost to rechamber to 375 weatherby?
I'm surprised more people don't go with the 375 weatherby.  I guess because the only factory rifle that comes in this chambering is weatherby.  but you can shoot and fire form 375 H&H in it and then have the weathrby brass.  sounds like the best choice to me.

Can't say how much it cost to put the rifle in the shape its in, I bought it at a gun show i was set up at in Reserve New Mexico this past spring. All i know for sure is i sure do like it and it shoots great. I have one thousand dollars in the rig just the way it sits..........Joe...........

I have a .375HH CZ 550 Magnum with the European style stock.  To look at the thing you'd think it would slap you silly when you fire it but it's quite pleasant to shoot, and this is my first big bore too.  At 50 yards I can put 3 shots into 1 inch offhand using the set trigger.  I think I'll keep it!  I plan on getting a .375 barrel for my Encore also.
