Had a chance to shoot my 6.5 mm BRM this afternoon.  I was very pleased with the gun's performance.  I purchased the standard model, and was hoping to have a unique, single shot rifle the would shoot well.  I purchased a .223 Ruger #1V for my son earlier in the year, and so was looking for something similar .... but different.  Shot two groups today: one three shot group inside a 5/8" diameter circle and one five shot group with four inside a 3/4" diameter circle (pulled the last shot)... from a sand bag.  I was a little surprised that the group shifted... not sure if I bumped the scope or what.

From there, my son and I blew up a number of clay pidgeons on the hill... lots of fun!  Any how.... my first impression of the gun is very good!  Look forward to learning how to shoot to the gun's potential.

I've seen a few folks in this forum talking about this gun... thought I'd share my experience.

I, too, am interested in this gun and the particular caliber that you purchased.  To bad right now the funds are not in for such a rifle.  Keep us informed of any developments that you have on this rifle as i am interested to hear them.

:cb2: I've been wanting one for years, but when the price shot up to $1200 I had to reconsider. Now that they have a "base gun" for "only" $900 I just may save up for one. Don't know whether to get the 6.5 or the .30-30. Please keep us informed on how well it (and you) are doing.

It looks like a very interesting gun.  If it came in .308 I'd probably buy one.

On Aim,
Do you have a photo of that 6.5 brm, what case is it based on. I ve been considering a 97d in 30-30, but have nothing against 6.5 ,I just have no expirience with it. any comments on 6.5brm would be appreciated.

How do you post pictures?  The 6.5 brm is based on the 30-30 Win case.  EABCO has a diagram at (http://www.eabco.com/images/reload034.gif).  I am new to reloading, but so far I have been reasonable successful reloading for accuracy.  I suspect most of my variability is due to the shooter.     It is a fine looking rifle, seems to be very well made and shoots well.  The gun is on the small side and light.... so the recoil is moderate ... IMHO.

Not sure, but it appears that the 6.5 Bulberry Improved may be a similar  cartridge.
