Shot a Group Today

I finally got some time to shoot the Survivor in .308 today. It was a great day. Here's a pic of the group. 3 shots at 200 yards. Totally stock Survivor shooting Winchester SuperX 150's. My scope is a Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40. I'm loving this rifle!!!

Wow! I guess that says two things, Good Shooter, Good Rifle! I have had good results with my .223 ultra at 100 yards, can't wait to get 200 yard shot. Also have a .223 fluted Ultra Varmet sb2 f23 and a 243 ultra I havent shot yet. Too much work! I'll post when I get out to shoot them. Nice shooting, Good rifle!
Two things run a man crazy, yesterday & tomorrow. You can't change yesterday, tomorrow belongs to God.

I'll echo that's some nice shooting there  :agree:
It's great to find a cheap brand of ammo that shoots well in you rifle. Check out the Super-X Silver Tips too, they don't cost maybe $1 or $2 more, and shoot real well in my -06.

I normally shoot pistols in USPSA but going to a rifle has been quite a change for me. A friend just got his trigger done by one of the local smith's for 80 bucks so I think I'm next in line for that. I'm also looking at another scope with better zoom on it and then I'll try a 300 yard group. I really have to work on the breathing and the trigger control. Thanks for the words,

Before you go lay down $80 for a trigger job, look at the FAQs. There are a couple great walk throughs that tell you how to it yourself. It's simple to do and very very easy to take off too much. The only thing I caution you about with this is getting the spring in the right place..it's simple, but for some reason took my awhile to figure out
If you send back your receiver to get fitted for another barrel you can request a trigger job, and they will do it for free.
Just something to consider.

Welcome Aboard :D

That's a real nice 200 yard group...Good shooting :agree: If you want to try some factory match ammo ..try some of the Federal Gold Match 165 grainers..they shoot well out of mine..along with the Winchesters..

WOW! I thought my 308 survivor was shooting good out of the box. These 308 barrels must be among the best NEF has. Mine was getting 3/4inch AT 100 yards off the tailgate of my truck. I know I could do better with a nice rest. But that is some very fine shooting for a $200 dollar rifle.
