Does Marlin have custom shop?  Or do you have to buy one and have it tricked out by a gunsmith?

They are fairly easy to trick out yourself.  I did my guide gun all on my own and with the excellent after market parts available is just a matter of slapping them on with minor fitting.

Wild West Guns is one of the better ones,  you can also check brownells and midway.

Vital stats.....
Marlin stainless Guide gun, oversized lever loop, bear proof ejector, ghost ring w/tritium front post, aluminum magazine spring plunger, and light rail from Wild West guns.  XS systems scout mount with leupold 2.5 scout scope with heavy german post reticle in warne quick detachable rings.  Surefire 9p weapon light with pressure sensative switch.   Spray on bedliner on factory wood, with good sealer on all interior wood.

Shoot only one load, H322 w/ starline brass for 1925fps with 405gr bullet.  I use the remington bulk 405gr JSP for practice and smaller stuff and the Kodiak bonded 405gr JSP for big stuff and defence.  Both bullets shoot to the same point of impact.   Its an excellent shooting regularly shooting 1-1 1/2" at 100 yards with the scout scope.  100 yard zero with the ghost rings also dead on at 25 yards,  the scout scope is zeroed at 150 yards for 3" high at 100 and 8" low at 200.

This is one of my favorite guns, I carry it regularly while fishing or as a camp/backup gun when big game hunting.  It is great for close range quick action.
