what is the shortest scope rings I can put on a handi

and still be able to use the hammer spur?  The scope is a 3x9-40 Bushnell Elite 3200.

Depends on the scope, most will take high rings unless you change the hammer. See the thread "Low Profile Hammer Modification" down the page or in the FAQ.

i have a 3200 on my handi, and the variable ring a fairly slim. i have loupold riflemen rings on mine in the high size, but i think medium would fit just fine

I have a bushnell 3200 10x and the medium rings are perfect.
