Can't speak to the CZ, but I have all three in other handguns. My experience with .40 has been Glock 27, Taurus PT-140, and Ruger P-94. I still have the Ruger. I am not particularly recoil sensitive, but have never thought the .40 was punishing. Probably shot the Glock as good as anything else I have and I am 5'-8", 150#. I'm down to the Ruger in .40 now just because I like shooting the 9mm and .45 better. Recoil, to me, is considerably more than the 9, and a little more than the .45. My .45's are 1911 steel frame so recoil is not bad. I don't think the recoil would bother you, but I don't see where the .40 has that much more going for it than the other two. Just my opinion, and that is all it is. I like them all. :grin:
