Those are what I use in my 308 Survivor.  I love them.  The best factory load I have found for my gun.  Without doing anything to the receiver or barrel I get MOA 5 shot groups.  Good enough for me

I just got a Handi .308. I have been using Winchester 180gr Power Point. Groups are real good, but I have only been shooting at fifty yards. Best group was .70 inches. Justin

lostsniper308:
This load is one of my favorites if I need factory loads. (To me, this is the easiest way to aquire brass.) The other is the Winchester 150 gr Silver Tips. Both of my 308s, a Remington 788 and a Mauser Scout shoot these as well as my best handloads. Both have worked very well on both mule and whitetails.

I tried 'em when I was figuring out ammo.
Win 150gr Super-X shot real nice in Survivor, tighter than 180gr Super-X.
First near single-hole group at 100 yards was with 168gr Win Match.
Federal Match was extremely consistent also, and, amazingly, South African was great as well.
For making holes in paper, the South African is awesome.

Same here..the Winchester 150 grain power points are consistant 1/2" groups or less..the other is the pricey Federal Gold Medal Match ..

I use the 150 Grain Power Point in my Handi 30-06 and have been really happy with them. I don't look for the tightest groups, but can get 1-1/2" all the time. Used this combo for my last 4 deer. I just bought a Savage in .308 and have some 150's to try. Only had time to get the scope close, but looks as if they are going to work well with it also. I use the Power Points in my 30-06, .270, and 25-06 as well.

well i may just put reloading on hold (crap for equipment anyway) and use PPs if they work well enough.

Don't overlook the Federal Fusion ammo either..it cost a little more than the PP's but it's shot excellently in every rifle I've tried it in..

only Gander and Fisherman's Corner (local) sell it and FC sells it for like $18+ when i can get PPs for  $14(albiet from Were-the-problem-Mart:) )
but ya know i think i'll try some, grab a box and goto the range along with the PPs.

this is off topic now but generally does the ol O ring trick work more so with wood or synthetic forends?

Saw Fusion at the GunShow over the weekend for $13/bx, then bought 2 more SouthAfrican 140ct packs for $25 each.
