Berry's 30 cal. plated bullets
« on: February 28, 2006, 02:32:44 PM »
Has anyone shot Berry's 150 grain, 30 caliber plated bullets in their H&R-NEF ?

I ordered 250 from Cabela's to use strictly as a paper punching round in my 308 Ultra. I use them all the time in pistols, but never in rifle caliber.

Guess the main thing is to keep them loaded to the lower powder charges as they are a swaged bullet with a thin copper plating.

I'll let you all know how they shoot soon as they come in.

I just recently got back into reloading after 20 years. I started reloading with a 110 gr. berry's 30 caliber in a 30-06. Thus far it seems to be working out well . Accuracy at 100 yds is shooting a 1 inch group. I'm using 56 gr of IMR 4896 with a CCI primer. :D
