They both have shootability and accuracy.
The XD and GI have a completety different feel to them.
You need to handle each one a lot and see what feels right in your hand.
A master of either one of these pistols will out shoot someone who does not practice, with either one of these pistols.
Both are shootable and accurate.
Which one feels good to you? The 1911 is at home in my hand, but I handled the XD and really liked the way if felt in my hand. I have no experience with the trigger on the XD though, so I'm sure an XD user could out shoot me easily with one.
I see the XD tactical 5 incher is being advertised now.
