http://www.dnr.state.md.us/wildlife/comments/2006seasonprop.html#ug
Could everyone go to Maryland's DNR web page and shoot then a commit something like this. you will see How to Submit Comments an the bottom of the page

"Open a state wide special handgun deer season last week in October and first week in November. Hunters who wish to hunt with a handgun must perches a handgun hunting stamp the same as they have to do with a bow and muzzle loader. This stamp will allow the handgun hunter to participate in the special handgun only deer season as well as use a handgun during the normal firearms season.
For shotgun only counties a handgun for deer hunting must use a straight walled case including the 444 marlin and 45-70 government with a muzzle energy of at least 700 Foot pounds and a barrel between 6 and 15 inches. For rifle counties the regulations should be unchanged. Straight walled cases with the large slow moving bullets are as safe if not safer then muzzle loading rifles and modern sabot slugs"

I have been fighting them for years about this.

thanks Redhawk1, I knew you would be willing to do this for me.

We need all the people we can get to send in a letter.

What I am really pushing for is the use of stright walled rounds for deer hunting in shotgun only counties.

I know what you mean, we finally got to use handguns last season, but it was only a week long season in January, our worst time for hunters on the eastern shore. I hope we get it in conjunction with shotgun season this year.
