Last night at the local Natioanl Wild Turkey Federation banquet I won a Marlin, 17 cal. The paper work says that it's a 917v-NWTF (I don't have the gun yet, have to go to gun shop tomorrow and pick it up.) I looked on the Marlin website, but the gun I won doesn't look like the ones that the website shows. My gun has a grey laminated stock, and a blued heavy fluted barrel, as well as a silver NWTF logo on the stock. I guess this gun was specially made for the NWTF. Does anyone know anything about this particualr gun, and what it is worth? I don't plan on selling it, just wondering what my $20 got me. Also, since it's a NWTF special edition, would I be dumb to use it, or should I just put it up?
