I ordered a HVY Barrel .223 from Walmart last wednesday got a call today and they said it was backordered from the factory. (They must be busy!!) Woundering if anyone has ever run into this and how long did it take.

Ordered a Ultra .223 bull barrel from Wal-mart today, they called first and it was in stock, was told it will be here in 10-14 days.

They better not call me and tell me it's back ordered.

Fellas, you can check Walmart's supplier's inventory yourself, it's in the FAQ...

Yeah, well I checked the Sports South website for instock on the Stevens 200 and it showed onhand. We called and they said "no". I special ordered it anyway because I wasn't confident in the Sports South person's uh........knowledge.

The Layaway system accepted the purchase order on Friday, but today Sports South called the store and it is "backordered from the factory". I am going to call Sports South tomorrow and ask what the deal is. They have shown out of stock on the Stevens in 223 for months and months, so I took the chance. (not like I can't give myself back my own money)

Gander Mountain out too.

First of all, I was wrong and felt stupid. Sports South has the Stevens onhand but doesn't sell them to WalMart. Lipsey's sell us the Savage rifles. That being said, the Sports South people are kind of jerky.

No straight answer from Sports South on the BC. Said "there is no way to tell", "I don't know", and "tell him to order it as a Layaway". Okay, so when would it come in if I placed the Layaway order? "I don't know" Do you just get some in every now and then? "No, it has been out since Christmas".

I am going to call Bentonville and ask the Man what is up.

Lipsey's has a backlog of 16 of the Stevens 200 in .223 right now. I am number 17. He expects 30 day wait on all Stevens rifles.

Are you ordering the Stevens 200 in .223 through walmart? I wasn't able to find the Stevens model 200 in the web site at all. If so, could you point it out to me?

I got the item number from the paper copy of the special order book, it is 4834098. The UPC is 1135617744. If I wrote those down wrong then just get the book and take a look.

I hate to ask this but do they list one in 22-250 as well and what was the pricing for either?

Quick, one of the firearms buyers emailed me back and basically said "we will sell it when NEF makes it". Oh, well, it is always someone else's fault. My thought was "how about looking into it and using the WalMart strongarm on them to make some more?"

Boudreau, the Stevens retails for $268. Every WalMart has one of these Special Order Firearms catalogs in Sporting Goods. I will take a look Monday if I get to that side of the store.

Have a 223 survior on backorder at walmart also.......wondering if the change in the2006' 223 barrel twist and the extrator change is taking longer to get them made and shipped

I sent a SB-2 reciver in to the factory in Jan. the 24th is when they said they recivied it. They said it would be three weeks to get my .223 fluted barrel. Well i called last Monday and asked them what the status on the barrel and stock. They said it would be a few more weeks. Sooo... I asked her if she would do me a big favor and return my reciver without the barrel and stocks. I got it back this week. Needless to say that I was releived. This is the second time in a year I've sent a reciver in only to have it sent back without a barrel.
I've got an Ultra in .223 that shoots great, but I won't buy another, new or used or send in for another barrel.
After hearing of latley of sloppy barrel fit and other problems, I'm just to scared to take a chance.
