I don't know how good these are going to show, the pix were taken in series 30 frames to the second. We were shooting a 2oz slug with about 150 grains ffg. ~Monk~

when I saw those pictures I wondered it the cannon wasn't seriously over- loaded!
of course excess windage and a large vent could give that effect too.

The snow seems to make the flash brighter! With the naked eye it didn't look near this impressive! It was made from a solid shaft and hot blued. I loaded it the same as I would a rifle, and stood well back!

When I said the same as a rifle I was talking about the powder charge. The cannon was bored to fit a 12 gauge plastic wad and my friend made the mold for the slug to fit the wad. We did try patching it later and got MUCH higher velosity.
