mil surplus postal matches
« on: May 20, 2006, 08:39:10 PM »
Hi. I've been to surplusrifle.com and read about postal matches. I was thinking about running a web site that did postal matches for mil surplus rifles or pistols. I was wondering if any of you have experience with postal matches? If so could give me some tips? Thanks. Alec.

You certainly need to know that whatever rules you set, rely on the honor of the participants.  :D

I do know the rules but  is there any things that will help with getting the targets in and checking them quickly? Thanks. Alec

If I remember correctly, that site has you score the targets yourself and has a pretty detailed primer on how to do it.

They rely strictly on the receipt date of entries NOT the post marked date so you need to get them in the mail with enough time to deliver them from your address to the match director's address.
