So i have a new barrel sitting on a pallet. I am guessing that firing it this way would a bad idea..lol. So has anybody built a naval carriage for a gun of this sive before? if so can i get some plans? or a website with plans? i am in need of this thing to fire by 10am est. and i can build fast when i need to. So any help would be great. measurments below.

The smooth bore has a 3/16" steel liner with a 2 1/4" bore dia.; 1/4" vent hole . Diameter is 5 1/2" at the breech, 4 1/2" at the muzzle with 2" trunnions. Trunnion length is 1 3/4" with a 5 5/8" spacing between the inside ends of the trunnions. Overall length is 36".

Can you read .dwg files?

I can find a reader i think or you could send it in a different format. I will take anything at this point.

I can send you a file scaled to fit the width based on a 24 pounder carriage. Ask questions if something is unclear.

The .dwg file is the native format of AutoCAD. You'll most likely need a different format if you don't have a CAD program that will read it.

You can download a free .dwg viewer from FastCAD called CADView. It works OK but you can't make changes to the file.

Thanks, George, having a reader opens up reading dwg files to lots of folks (free!). That sure beats sending jpg's!
