Switch from Nickel to Stainless Steel?

Does anyone here know when H&R/NEF switched from nickel plate to stainless steel on their synthetic weatherproof Handi Rifles?  THANKS!

They didn't, they still have matte nickel finished frames and ss barrels.

The one I recently picked up has a nickle plate barrel too.
