.45-70 in Synthetic stock?
« on: March 17, 2006, 12:50:28 PM »
I couldn't get the .45-70 I wanted so I bought a .223 in a synthetic stock. I'm thinking about sending that receiver in to get a .45-70 barrel but I wonder if it won't kick all that much harder in the synthetic stock? I think it might look better in wood also. What do you thinK?

Howdy,
I have a .243 superlight with a 45-70 barrel fitted, recoil using Marlin loads is serious but doesn't cause discomfit untill about the 20th shot off the bench, then it is time to put the .243 barrel on.
Regards Howard.
