Yea, but if ya shoot it 50 times a year thats 2500 shots over 50 years or 25 shots + 100 years. I do not believe that these 750s will have any shorter lifetime than most other rifles / with reasonable maintenance.

The gal I spoke to at Remington would not commit to a lifetime in "rounds fired", however over 2000-3000 rounds with zero problems seemed to be the jist of what she was saying if you cleaned it properly and did not shoot it until you could fry eggs on the barrel.

That sounds more like it. I have plenty of other fun guns to shoot. I'll probably sight er in and re sight every year that I'll be using it and thats about it.

I think i will also buy the 750 in 35 whelen  22" it should be a great rifle for the big bears we have been seeing latley hear in NY. Jimmy i didn't know the ziess conquest had a 1.5X5 i would like to top that on the 750 as well  or a leupold 1.75X6. I have the conquest in 3x9 40mm and there just great.

Doug at Cameraland had a list of the new Zeiss products released at the shot show this year. His list included a new low power variable Zeiss.

I would like to see the zeiss , i have a friend who has two leupold rifleman scopes in 4x12 he says there great.  i would think on the 2x7 for the remington 750 .
