Pet names for your spouse...
« on: March 04, 2006, 02:53:36 AM »
We've all heard of Honey, Darling, or Sweetie, but yesterday I bit my lip until it almost bled to keep from laughing when I heard a fellow call his wife "Mauser."

I was at out local Scheels talking to the staff about when my pistol would be back from Kimber (long story) and this couple came in dressed like they were going on an African safari.  I mean leather boots and bloused kaki pants and stuffed shirts.

This dandy fellow was looking at a new .204 Ruger and called for his wife "Mauser" to come take a look at it.  It kinda caught the salesman and me offguard...

I know you would have found it funny if you'd have been there :)

Take Care
Ben

Mine used to be B.B. short for Baby.  That was my favorite term for her for 21 years.  Then when the kid was about 8 he told her it ment Bertha Butts, you know the woman with a Big Butt.  He got it from the kids at the Catholic school she insisted he go to.  My laughing as she beat me about the head and shoulders did not help.  Got me into hot water for a long time.  Now, it's just Darlin.

And I call my Ex, "Babe"  mainly because it burns her hubby up.  He don't like me, but he's afraid of me so he won't say anything.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

I call mine "dear".
Then I tell her, I'm gonna call the Fish and Game warden to tell him/her
that she was poaching out of season.
Told Rosie, that she went dear huntin. 2 legged dear huntin.
No tags  ,no gun  .
On the TV the other night, I told her "There's a deer, dear".
All I got was, "Whatever !".
Then told her she was my 2 legged dear.
On and on...

I frequently call my wife honey, munchkin, munchy, mighty munchkin, runt, and squirt. And sometimes I even call her by her first name when I can remember it.  :)
If at first you don't succeed, by all means try again. But if this doesn't work, give up, because there is no sense in making a darn fool of yourself.

etc.

I can be creative.
