a non reloading friend gave me several hundred brass/plastic hulls today.the headstamp reads-PCA O4 223 REM.they are gray plastic 3/4's the way down.only the last 1/4 of the head is brass.they look to be boxer primed.are they reloadable?

They can be reloaded, but it's not a very good thing to do. You end up with very little neck tension, so they work in single shots but not in repeaters since the bullets won't stay put.

In a word , No , the standard die system would only crush the plastic part of the case . These were designed as mil. ammo to save brass i guess .

I have run in to these cases. I tried my regular 223 load and had excess powder left in the funnel. I called Sierra help line...They said not to reload them and make key chains out of them.

They are crap! Do not even attempt to reload them.
