As many of you know I had my 30-06 barrel stolen last year.  While I was waiting for a replacement, I got out a new barrel for my Encore to carry during the then current hunting season.  Used the same loads from my Handi for the 165gr, but also worked up a 180gr load using the Nosler partition, since the old loads did not shoot well.   After I got my replacement barrel the season was over so I put off the real work of developing new loads till it warmed up.  Last week I took the 165gr loads from the old barrel and they shot good at 300 yards.  On a whim I tried the 180s I had worked up for the Encore.  Just enlarged the group from the 165s a little.  My 125s from the old barrel are 3" low, I'm going to bump them up a grain of powder.  Boy this has been an easy work up.  No loading three of this and three of that to find the right combinations.  Past work paid off.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
