« on: January 06, 2006, 02:46:18 AM »
I called Langley Ranch and set up a hunt several months back..now when I call for details no answer. All I get is an answering machine and none has called me back what is the correct number for Langley ranch? Do you have any other suggestions for a site within 50 miles of I-20.
we are going on a quail hunt in Spur Texas and want to hunt boar on the way back to NC. We will be hunting on a Monday & Tuesday.
Thanks

The Langley's are really nice people, don't get too upset about their lack of communications savvy, you'll just be cheating yourself.

I've sent emails and gotten that same answering machine many times.  Annoying, but not really a big deal.

Here's the number 903-536-2619.

Just keep trying.

Where are you Quail hunting? I was deer hunting outside of Spur in December and often had Quail come so close I could have spat on them.

I grew up just down the road from Langley Store.  Joe was our High School Football coach in Centerville.

These hogs and the fire ants are some of the reasons the deer and quail hunting in Leon County has gone downhill.  20+ years ago there were very few (ferel) hogs and no fire ants.

They trap these ferel animals for a few bucks each and thus keep the Hog Safari going strong.  I remember when I was in the 8th grade (1975) and he was our PE teacher and he brought in some SIX INCH 'tush's/cutters' that his brother Ronnie had gotten off a 400lb Poland-China that had escaped and been raiding local gardens for a few years.

You guys kill em all...  When I get back to hunt each fall there are always more pigs than deer :(

Take Care
