Anyone here install swing safety's on Mausers

Does anyone here install the side swing safety's such as Chapmans as sold by Brownells?

I presume you're talking about the M70 style 2 position units that are sold to be added to your existing bolt shroud. I've used a few and fixed a few more and much prefer the 3 position units as made by Precision Metalsmithing that replace the entire bolt shroud. If cost is prohibitive a Buehler style modification of the existing mauser shroud is the best way to go.

Thats the one I'm talking about. What do you charge for that? I have 2 of the kits. Does that require the complete gun or just the bolt assemblies when a 'smith' does it?

I don't take that type work any more. No longer have the license... The entire rifle would be needed(at least the barreled action) as the safety will have to be afjusted to allow it to function properly/safely. I still put a few on but only for my own projects..  Wwhere are you located? Perhaps there's someone local who might help.
