I'v set up two of the 500 and one 330. 500ho are they way to go,plenty of power. they have a trick rear end, you can lock it in or run it like a single track car rear end . makes turns with less effort. elects are cool. nice ride

the 330 just seem kind of lacking. the best thing to do is find someone who has one and ride it, and than try the 500. 330 is oil cooled, 500 is water cooled. nothing wrong with 330, I just feel that for the money I would get the 500. 500 has been around a long time the 330 about 3 years. It will be your ride so you need to get what suits you. just check them both out and ask a lot of questions of people who have them. check out some of the other atv forms that have a little more traffic. good luck

I just bought a new Polaris and decided on the 500 Sportsman instead of the ATP because of the rear suspension. The independant suspension is more important to me because of the terrain I have to traverse. If the ATP had the same rear suspension it would have been a tough decision. As for payload, I carried two quartered elk loaded together out of a really harry canyon on my 400 Sportsman so I know the 500 in any configuration will do the job at least as well. As for the power question, my brother has the 330 and it just don't seem like enough power to me. Of course he lives in Texas and down there it works OK, but when he hunts with me here in Wyoming, I do a lot of waiting and have had to pick my trails to allow for him to follow.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.
