Anyone compared the new 33 gr Rem with a 40 gr jhp on penetration? I'm not familiar w/the 33, and would rather pop both balloons in the chest than mangle just one. Foxes and yotes.(my shots are under 100 yds)

The Rem V-maxs are great I love them for small stuff but they give very little penetration, use the Win Super X or CCI Maxi Mag.

The Remington 33 gr V-Max is the most explosive rimfire round I've ever used, but it's not much for penetration.

Thanks, that's what I was worried about, think i'll stick to the 40 psp, or jhp's and work up an accurate combination.

I think the best combo for penetration and expansion are the Winchester 40gr hp's
