Sounds pretty far fetched to me.

A multi murder crime scene by an unknown animal/creature and 2 of the investigating cops spill their guts about it in detail to a gas station attendant!?? Oh yeah, i'm a believer!  :-D

Seriously though. There is a big Coyote calling contest at the LBL every year and alot of the guys from another sites board go to it. I could find out if there is anything to this story by asking around over there.

Not to start another BF fight, but how are the numerous BigFoot stories any more reliable than this one? What about UFO sightings, ghosts, sea creatures, ect? Where is the line drawn between fact and fiction when telling paranormal stories?
Black_Wolf, this question isn't aimed at you... just a general observation.

I bow hunted at LBL and camped in the remote areas for several years from the mid eighties thru the early ninties.  It is very rural and "out in the sticks".  That's the first I've heard of any thing like this.

Great deer hunting at Land Between the Lakes.

Gotcha Skeptic. Alot of the other stories about the paranormal i dont believe either just like i dont with this one. I dont have an answer for ya on the line between fact and fiction as i would like to know myself?

Did you read the full story, though? It reads like something out of a fictional horror book. It just doesnt seem believable to me by how it is written.

It sounds more like Werewolf type of stuff instead of BF. The fact that if indeed a creature of this sort dismembered a whole family and dragged a little girl off and consumed her in a tree, i think would be enough to get the FBI involved and then no one would be blabbing about it.

I just dont buy it.

I just might make mention of this on that predator site and see where it goes. There are some biologists there and the subject of BF/Cryptids has come up before and they were all over it as they are big time skeptics. That and i know Nonya posts there as he Yote hunts and I think they would have a field day with that story since that is the area they have the Coyote hunting competition in every year.

It made mention about half way thru about the locals insisting it was not a Sasquatch or BF type creature they were seeing. I just brought it up in light of Skeptics post   :-)
