New FN pistol
« on: March 28, 2006, 07:29:11 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with the new FNP 40s?
There is a picture of one on page 29 of the April issue of American Rifleman and it sure looks like it would be a nice carry gun. I like the idea of a hammer and a safety since I am from the old 1911 school!
Someone said it comes in Sa as well as DA/SA which would mean a smother trigger.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've got the Browning Pro-9 and the Pro-40 ...

... Same exact gun as the FN-P40 because FN makes them for Browning. The gun can be carried cocked and locked or in traditional DA/SA mode.

By the way, the 9mm model has a much smoother trigger. The 40 model's trigger is a bit griddy and it isn't just on my gun. When I was buying the gun, I tried a few different guns and they were all like that.
