Which of 2 375's

Between a Browning A Bolt Medallion 375 H&H and a CZ 550 American Safari, which would you guys choose?  I can get the Browning for around $200 cheaper than the CZ, but I haven't held or even looked at a CZ, unless one counts looking at pics on the net.  The Browning felt pretty good on the shoulder and the sights lined up pretty well, but I haven't heard of anyone talking aobut the Browning.  Just still trying to find out info.  Thanks for all replies.

I don't know anything about the Browning but I have a CZ 550 Safari Magnum in 458 Lott which I really like.  It has nice wood, I really like the set trigger and the integral receiver dovetails for scope mounting are great (I put Tilley quick release rings on mine which stay put).

There have been a number of posts about stock breakage under heavy recoil.  I'm probably pushing near 100 rounds out of my 458 Lott with no problems thus far.  I really like the gun.

I have a CZ 550 Safari Magnum in 416 Rigby and it is an extremely accurate gun. I am shooting 1 inch groups at 100 yards. I also have a Browning A-bolt in 338 Win Mag that shoots equally as well. If I had to make a choice between them I think I would go with the CZ. I am so impressed with the accuracy of the 416 Rigby in this gun. The only 375 H&H I had was a Sako that my buddy know owns.  :D

I prefer stainless steel over anything else, so, I'd go with the browning (I think the model you speak of is stainless steel)

I own a CZ Safari "humpback" in .375 H&H and love it.  Hundreds of rounds, lots of big grins from friends and any one at the range that cares for a shot.  You really need to see and hold one, feel the crisp trigger, work the bolt and see the deep bluing... I hope you reload because once you get the fever :P reloading is the only way my wallet could afford this habit.

When I pick up my CZ 550 in 416 Rigby, I think no matter where I go I will not be under gunned.  :D  :-D I am at times to be considered over gunned, but never under gunned.  :-D  8)

Go with the CZ or the Sako. I have a CZ in .416. No complaints, great gun. Just got done looking at the Sako, if I were in the market for a .375 that just might get the nod. Browning? Let me just say that I will NEVER forget who brought Winchester down. CRASH87[/b]

Dreams of africa,

I have been looking for 375 h&h for a couple months, had somewhat made my mind up on a CZ 550, safari.  Was in a gun shop in Rapid City, SD last week.  From the end of the rack I could see a barrel with a hooded front sight towering above the rest of barrels.

I aproached thinking no it can't be, but it was, a used CZ 550, safari, 375 h&h, "hump back" and all.  The sights came up perfectly.

Holding that rifle in my hands all I could think of was Africa.

But the reality of 15 inches of snow and 25 degrees quickly ended my metal safari.

I think the price was right ($675), but I am trying to break my nasty habit of "gunpulse" buying.  I figure if it is there in a couple weeks when I go back it was ment to be, if not. oh well.

Thanks everyone for your replies.  I handled a CZ today, and well I think I am in love!  Just felt right.  Cannot say it any better than that.  Now I just have to save up my money.  Thanks for all the responses.
