I'm loading Woodleigh 8mm 250gn RNSNs for my 8x57 and am trying to tighten the groups.
I've been seating them as far out as possible to get them close to the lands but other people I've spoken to have said that their best accuracy has come from seating further back and and not practically on the rifling.
What is the experience of people in this?
It's a '41 Kar98k....do the military lands prefer close or distant seating?
What about the fact that it's a round nose projectile?
I guess I'm trying to cover all points to see if it'll group smaller.
