Anybody have any luck with red dots on Encores with hard kicking calibers? Ultra Dots survive on these monsters?

Red Dots on Encore pistols

i use the bushnell multi-recticle red dots on my encore handguns $80-$90 range.one on a 12" 44 mag ,one on a 15" 257 rbts.the mag has a pretty stout recoil i shoot a 240 grn bullet at 1450 fps.without a shooting glove the frame will usually bust my trigger finger open after about 10 rounds.the 44 has the hardest recoil of any encore handgun i have personally fired.i do have a 50 alaskan that makes the 44 seem mild but that's a 21" carbine barrel,i use a nikon compact  scope on that.was considering one of the leapold/gilmore electronic sights for the 50 ak.i am sure they would withstand the abuse.
i have never had any problem with a red dot due to recoil,ADCO makes a pretty good one, have one of them mounted on a marlin 444 outfitter,300 grn bullet at about 1900.pretty stout rcoil there as well.just some food for thought, adker

The Ultra-dots will hold up. I only use Ultra-dots on my heavy kickers.  :D

Red dot's on ENCORE'S

I had a tasco pro point red dot scope on an ENCORE .308 win. 15" bbl.
I did not have any problems with the scope.I changed scopes because
I was not happy with the target covering dot size out past 100 YRDS.
The scope appeared to handle the recoil fine, and I will probably mount
it on a RUGER SUPER BLACKHAWK or a 12 ga. shotgun for "up close
work"

I was getting so mad at my accuracy probelmes with a handgun scope that I put the barrel, scope and grips up for sale.  I then tried on final effort for accuracy with a red dot and could not believe how things calmed down for me.  Everything is off the "for sale" list now and my Millet Red dot has saved the day!!
It's all a hot mess...........

I used a Tasco PDP3 red dot on my 14" Contender .375 Winchester barrel for a couple of years, then switched to a bushnell scope...the red dot held up just fine on the several hundred shots I fired a year...never had problems with it hunting either, but wanted some magnification for longer shots, so I switched to the Bushnell scope.  The Tasco now sits on a Ruger GP100 .357 Mag. and does a great job there as well.  I was scared, from what I had heard, about the life of red dots and the big kickers, but like I said, no problems and that was hundreds of shots.
How'd you like a peek at my 14-incher? (Contender, that is)
