any idea what I could reolace the globe sight with on the BC?
I find the hood over the lyman globe sight makes it hard to see the front post . I tried changing the inserts BUT seem to have the same problems
I have the upgrade rear sight (peep) but need ideas what to use up front?

It's a standard 3/8" dovetail, there are lots of sight that will fit the barrel, just a matter of what you want and how much you want to spend! I would take a dremel to the hood and cut a port in the top to let some light in before I changed the sight. Check out BA for sights.

Grind a port in the top of the hood to allow more light on the insert. Remove the insert and use a dremel grind stone or the barrel sander. If it doesn't work, you're not out much, but I think it'll work. Williams makes ported hoods for some of their ramp sights, that's where I got the idea, I wanted to put one on a fiber optic front sight to protect it.
