i inherited a remington model 141A in .35remington from my grandfather....his father purchased it brand new and my grandpa got it when he died...and also my dad hunted with it when he was younger and now it's mine!  I am interested in finding an "original" manual for it....i can find reprints on ebay but would prefer an original...if anyone knows of one or could help me out i would very much appreciate it!

I recently bought a Model 141 in 35 Remington. I had been searching for a good clean one for quite a while and finally found one. I requested one from Remington from their website. I received it in a few days. It is a copy, but the information is very useful.

Yup, no charge for the manual from Remington. Get on the Remington website and find the FAQ section. you will find a question about how to order catalogs and manuals, click on it, then just follow the prompts. Easy and free! Mine took less than one week to get here.

thanks!  just did it....that was easy...hows your 141 shoot??   mine has a very old weaver non adjustable scope on it..after all these years still hits clay pidgeons at 100 yds!

I haven't got to shoot mine yet, and it is driving me crazy! I hope to get to the range this Saturday. Mine has a Weaver 2.5 scope on it. I really like this rifle, it just "fits." Mine isn't an A model, and was made in 1948. Someone took good care of it. Are you shooting factory ammo or handloads?

just checked out the barrel letters and matched them to the date codes sticky....my letters are "EK" which makes my gun produced in sept 1941!  Thats pretty neat!

They are really cool old rifles. I found another one in the same gun shop I bought mine in. The one in the shop was made in August 1939. Man, I'm tempted to give that old girl a good home too!

what exactly did remington send you in the mail?  they just sent me an envelope with a orange 10 commandments of shooting safety card in it and a little remington card that says they are pleased they were able to accomadate my request however i didn;t get anything for the model 141 which i selected from their website...is it coming later??

I got a Model 141 manual and the stuff you listed. I guess that the manual was left out of yours. I'd recommend trying again. I have requested about 6 manuals from Remington, and received them all. Apparently, someone just goofed up while stuffing your envelope. :oops:

BTW, I finally got to the local range last Saturday. It is only 50 yards, but I figured I could get it on paper and see if it shot well. I was using the Hornady 200 grain Lever Evolution ammo. I shot several 3 shot groups. They all clustered around 3/4". I had to adjust the scope a bit, but was very pleased with the groups. I want to shoot it at 100 yards next.
