Guys,
I have a 50's vintage Husqvarna .243. It has a magazine box that appears to be a normal full length mauser box which has been blocked to feed the shorter .243. I want to rebarrel this rifle to .35 Whelen. To do this the magazine box has to have the block removed and the follower replaced. I would like to use the same stock so I don't want to replace the bottom metal with something having different dimensions. What's the best way to do this? Any other changes needed to go to the longer case? Thanks.
