Minnesota is trying to pass into law that only a muzzleloader with an ignition of a flint, percussion cap and a musket cap will be allowed in the Minnesota muzzleloader season.

Also it will not allow any smokeless powder in the muzzleloader season.

I wonder if it will get passed???[/b]

Ignition laws are really dumb.  My first inline, a Traditions, came with plugs for caps, musket caps, AND 209s.  It shot the same with all so I don't see how this does anything.  Heck, I'm sure someone could come up with a modified breechplug to shoot #11s in an Omega if they wanted to...thread a nipple into the plug and put a steel "hat" over the cap for the pin to strike.  It'd probably work fine.

Man, I wish they would!! It would also fit the Encore too!! 8)   If 209's were banned then I bet T/C would reinvent that plug for the #11 caps!  Both rifles would be better off too, in my opinion.

That is a great idea to design a BP for an inline to use a #11. Can you say ching ching!!!  Patent the idea quickly.
Then they would have to rewrite the laws and show their true colors.
