Darn my bad luck !
« on: April 22, 2006, 05:48:15 AM »
I was so excited to get my new Remington 750 woodmaster in o6 but when I got it home I noticed the was a large gap along the right side of the forearm while the left side was tight aganist the bbl. I called Remington they sent me to a Remington guy in Illinois( 100 miles away) and he looked saifdd the forearm bolt hole and sleve was drilled off center and he would have another sxsent to me. Now I will probably have to wait a month to get it. I'm not going to fire it untill every thing is right. If it shoots as good as it looks and feels it should be a dandy.
It's been a tough week, lost my wedding ring while scouting for turkeys, Then managed to get a bullet lodged in my .243 about 1/2 way up the bbl and broke off a steel rod trying to get it out it is also in the bbl. and before that I couldn't git my simmons Master series scope to adjust so I could sight in !  The rifle was shooting clover leafs but I couoldn't get them to move over to the target !
Called up a huge gobbler on Friday morning and he came in behind me so I couldn't turn around to see him without spooking him. SoI let him  walk off !
the heck with it all, Turkey season opens Monday, I will just grap my old reliable Rem 870 pump and go hunting. If it wasn't for bad luck I would't have any luck at all !

I vote you shoot the rifle, as is.  It MAY shoot just fine.  Doesn't hurt to try, and you won't have to wait.
