I don't put crimp grooves in these auto pistol bullets. 45 ACP ammo should not be crimped more than is found to be absolutely mandatory to keep bullets from moving while cycling through the gun. That means no crimp in my experiance.
Crimping damages the already short bearing of ACP length bullets, and if crimps are too deep, pushes the case mouth too small for headspacing requirements.
