Just reading through the turkey section. saw your post. I am hoping that turkeys are turkeys anywhere. If there are enough of them in KY, and 308 winchester, says there are plenty. I am  hopefull that western tacktics will work on them. looking forward to a KY hunting forum, thanks for asking for one. Maybe next sping we will be swapping KY turkey stories there. Did you end up getting one this last season? I only got to go once this year, was lucky and got a nice bird. Someday i will learn how to post pictures, i think they might help my stories out some. I will end up some were around the Lexington area. within 50 miles probaly closer to 35 if we can find what we want at an afordable price. dont know what side of town i will be on yet. Good luck, and good hunting.  D.C.

In the fall I stalk turkeys or wait for flydown. The only call I usually use is the "Kee, Kee"  Ill stalk a small group, bust them up. I then set up and use the Kee, Kee. Its a sound the old hen uses to gather the flock back up with. The last fall turkey I killed I glassed them from across a hollar and saw the direction they were feeding in. I just intersected them and set up. Easy kill.
