Any problems, issues with rebarreling a yugo 48, or is it just like doing a 98?

A yugo M48 is a M98 action. What kind of issues were you thinking of..  All mausers should be carefully checked before rebasrreling and I like to check for signs of abuse and lug setback.

The yugo being an intermediate length, large ring, You may find that the barrel has an extractor "cut-out" . These are probably not necessary, but you may want to check for extractor face clearance [to the barrel] . Usually if there is contact, thinning of the extractor will be sufficient to provide clearance. But, I hear of people cutting small extractor reliefs in the barrel. The 48/24-47 actions should be ideal for 308 length ctg.s I think... Good luck w/ it .   MV

S.O.G. has Yugo M 24/47's in their latest flyer. Same as the M-48 and all milled parts. M-48A has a stamped trigger guard and mag. follower.

But I would not sporter one of those! Not while sarco and century have actions only, and barreled actions. Less $$ less labor, less "stigma".etc... $0.02.   MV
BTW I will be starting such a project [m48 in 308 Target] tomorrow if you would like a chronicle of progress.
