what the handis are 'saying'

Anyone got any giveaway signs of what's wrong or not with it self? I was reading an article about reading your target groupings to discover what's working or not. just wondering if there's anything similar with handis.

.

This is a good question Most of what you read is also applicable of the Handy plus some extra.

A Handi target will tell you all sorts of problems. Here are a few of the most obvious.

A big round group will tell you you have loose joints i.e. hinge pin, underlug, forearm joint, poor fitting forearm poor ammo, bore is tapered and bigger at the muzzle, poor ignition, wrong powder with to much velocity variation, excentric bullet seating, loose and poor scope, overheated barrel.

Vertical stringing mostly caused by a sliding latch, not enough latch spring pressure, poor latch fit. poor barrel to breech fit, oil on the latch, poor forearm bedding.

Diagonal grouping barrel is torqueing and is loosely fitted in the action well, poor hinge pin fit, barrel face is only bearing against the standing breech on one side causing horizontal oe diagional dispersion.

Except for a poor barrel most all of the above can be fixed by the Handi owner. These are my own observations about the Handi and may not be agreeable to others.

This Correction Target may help.  This is for right handers so if you're left handed then analyze in a mirro image or reversed right to left, and vice versa.  Hope that helps.  :D

well then i'd say my rifle falls under the big round group as the "ha ha try another load sucker" cause the action is fine, may have some oil on the hinge but i can take care of that in seconds.
