30 Carbine

I just got a 30 carbine and it has problems feeding. Is it most likly the mag?

A magazine change would be the first possible solution. However there are many things that can cause "problems feeding". If the magazine change doesn't do it a more detailed description of the problem would be helpful.

try a new mag first, or disassemble your mag and "pull the spring" out a bit to give it more spring.

spring may be weak.

Try changing the spring.  I have had the same problem and it cured it.

depends on what kind of jams you are having?
Close the feed lips on the mag up a little and see if that helps.
New mags are easy to come by though...

My  m1 carbine will not always feed soft points but always works with fmj.
